St Augustine Spring Art and Crafts Festival

Look for Clay Network at the St. Augustine Spring Arts and Crafts Festival this April 18 and 19th. In the midst of juried national and regional fine artists and craftsmen, Clay Network members will be on hand to demonstrate wheel and hand building techniques throughout both days. The booth will be popular with the public, and, as an additional bonus, members will be on hand to reach out to the public, talk about the processes involved, and promote the work that will be on display. It is a great opportunity for Clay Network indeed. Look for our booth…it will be a busy one.

Plan ahead too! The month of May will mark our group library exhibition at the Beaches Regional Library. It is located at 600 Third Street, Neptune Beach.

Three more area library exhibits are to follow. All members are welcome to submit work for these exhibitions. Make it a point to attend our next meeting for details.

Clay Network President,

Marcia Scheeter

A note from the C.N. president

A note from Marcia

There is so much excitement to share! In less than two short months much has been accomplished to secure a healthy direction for Clay Network. Dedicated board members have expended countless hours researching, developing and securing opportunities for our membership. Marketing strategies were identified and immediately acted upon. A web presence is in place and awaiting expansion. It certainly has been a busy eight weeks! The beach will be a perfect setting for our next meeting. Clay Network’s new look will be unveiled and decisions will be made as to how we conduct business as we look to fulfill our mission statement. Our thanks to Margaret Jimeson, for not only hosting our upcoming meeting at her oceanfront home, but for the program she will present. My deepest gratitude to our remarkable board for their efforts and rising to the occasion when asked. Without their hard work, my job these past few weeks would have been quite difficult …perhaps even insurmountable. I am fortunate indeed.
Thank you.
See you all, Sunday, April 26th.
Marcia Scheeter

April Meeting

Margaret's pottery at SPVCA fall art and craft sale

The Clay Network meeting which was scheduled for Sunday, April 19 has been changed to Sunday, April 26.
There are many interesting and very important topics to discuss.
It is our hope that all members will be able to attend.

We will be meeting at the beachfront home of Margaret Jimeson in South Ponte Vedra Beach.
Margaret is planning to sell her beautiful ocean front home. So- This will probably be the last chance for us to enjoy a network meeting in her wonderful art filled home.

We will begin at 2pm.
A brief network business meeting will be followed by
an interesting clay-working demonstration led by Margaret.
Please bring a dish and join us for a potluck meal following the program.

Directions will be e-mailed to all members prior to the meeting date.

If you are not a Clay Network Member, but would like to attend this meeting
please contact Lisa at : StixandStonz@hotmail.com for directions and other information.
